We have achieved this in so many ways by considering the physical, financial and psychological state of the people around us.
Some notable CSR projects of the Group include:
Sports
· Sponsorship of grassroots football competitions and other engaging sports activities. We sponsored the Talent Hunt Under 13-14 football Academy Competition and currently have an on-going partnership with the Academy in their activities. This is aimed at preventing youths from perpetuating social delinquencies by engaging them in sporting activities and building their talents.
Health
· BUA Group supports the International Cancer Center in Abuja- a project initiative by Hajia Turia Yar’ Adua, wife of the late former president of Nigeria. The aim of the project is to contribute towards the delivery of health care services to women and children, especially those in the rural areas.
· BUA Group donated excellent medical equipment to the Daniel Ogechi Akujobi Memorial (DOAM) Foundation for their newly constructed Accident and Emergency Center at Mowe, Ogun State. The centre has expressed their profound gratitude to the group for the gesture.
Gift and Donations
· BUA Group sponsored the second edition of the Disability Awareness week in collaboration with the National Handicap Carers Association of Nigeria (NAHCAN). This is an organisation which caters to those with physical disabilities and other impairments to living a normal life. The company is still committed to supporting other projects of NAHCAN including their upcoming Disability Awareness Week 2011(4th edition). This event is set to coincide with Nigeria’s election year, to remind our leaders and the general public that ‘Quality Service Delivery’ should be a watchword because ‘the most profitable services is service to the less privileged’
All these activities are leading towards the establishment of the BUA Foundation.
